On October 26, 2023, at the GEM Center convention center, KGM Vietnam had the opportunity to participate in the prestigious global conference on building facade design and engineering, named Zak World of Façades. This eagerly anticipated event brought together industry professionals such as architects, engineers, and designers from around the world to exchange ideas on advanced developments and address key challenges in the field of building facade engineering. Zak World Of Facades, focusing on the historical development of building facade engineering and the importance of sustainability, emphasized the need for a comprehensive consideration of technological advancements and their impact on building facade engineering practices.

Given the rapid pace of technological development and increasing concerns about sustainability, it has become crucial for professionals in this field to stay updated on the latest trends and developments. Especially after the Grenfell ACM facade fire in London in 2017, building facade safety has become a paramount concern. To address these concerns and ensure the future of sustainable building design, KGM Vietnam actively participated in the conference to gain valuable insights and knowledge from industry experts and researchers.

At the conference, various topics were discussed, including the fire performance of combustible building facades, energy efficiency in buildings, renewable energy integration, and advancements in facade systems and materials. The conference also highlighted the importance of energy efficiency in buildings, considering big data, renewable energy integration, and green energy systems – moving towards the complete elimination of CO2 emissions.
